August 15 Richmond East Dojo
Our fighters get together two times a week through this summer
and hit a bag for two hours straight.
Pushing his limits on endurance, Johnny Leblanc hammers hard punches
into the 200lbs heavy bag. There are exactly three months left
for him until the biggest challenge.

June 25 Downtown Dojo
Three students from the downtown dojo performed Kyokushin Karate
for Talent Show at their school. Every year, Mathew and John, impress the crowd
with their excellence in Kata. This year, Samantha
joined the team for the first time and walked beautiful Pinan 5 with them.
Then, John and Matthew showed Saifa with powerful thrusts and kicks.
The crowd enjoyed watching their crisp and clear moves
and gave them a big hand. Great job, guys! Osu.

May 13 Killarney Dojo
The adults class of the Killarney dojo created two champions
at the 24th Canadian Championships.
Both Keegan and Esther placed 1st at the 13-16 non-contact and
the women's heavy weight respectively.
Congratulations on the success of  the two dedicated fighters!
We are all proud of you. Osu.

April 26 Downtown Dojo
Lima got really closed to the members of VKK since she joined us last fall.
The young lady from Japan had many joyful moments by competing in Vancouver Cup,
attending NA Black Belt conference and experiencing Canadian snow at Winter Camp.
On top of those special events, she regularly trained at the downtown dojo
and made so many friends there. It was very sad to see her go tonight.
But we are sure that we will see each other in the future as long as
we keep training in Kyokushin. Here is a group photo with Lima holding
a little Kyokushin Dogi presented by Sachiko, covered with messages
from all of us. So long, Lima and see you soon.

February 28 Downtown Dojo
Genki and Mirai attended their last class at the downtown dojo tonight.
They will leave for Japan soon and live there for a while. A big Canadian flag
was handed to them with a bunch of messages from all of us on it.
We hope you will be back and train with us again in the future. Osu.
